🤺2025 Réunion Epee Championship: a success for Réunion fencing

The 2025 Réunion Epee Championship was a success for Réunion fencing . This event took place on Sunday, March 30 at the Jules Reydellet gymnasium in Bas de la Rivière . It was organized by the Réunion Fencing League in collaboration with the Cercle d'Escrime de La Buse . The championship brought together many fencers from the island , highlighting a spirit of camaraderie and competition .
The assaults took place in all categories , ranging from young M11s to Veterans , with several notable performances.
Here are the winners by category:
- In the M11 category , Clain Lucas (La Buse) stood out.
- In the U15 Boys , victory went to Virin Enrick (La Buse) .
- In the M15 Women , it was Vanoost Jean-Baptiste Anna (La Buse) who triumphed.
- Minatchy Arthur (Sainte Marie) won the M17 Boys category .
- Wannin Justine (La Buse) was the fastest in the M17 Women .
- For the Men's Veterans , Petit Eric Georges (Sainte Marie) finished first.
- Finally, Ricard Amandine (Le Port CEO) was crowned champion among the Women's Veterans .
The fencing season continues with other events:
- The next RUN at the Sabre is scheduled for April 6 at the Espadon de Saint-Pierre .
- It will be followed by the RUN Épée B on April 12 in the new club of La Plaine des Palmistes .
The creation of this new fencing club in La Plaine des Palmistes is good news , as it has been a long time since a club was created in the department. This brings new blood , particularly to this remote region of the island.
